REFEREE INFORMATION SESSION FOR COACHES

British Fencing will be hosting an information session on how rules are being applied internationally and the practical implications for coaches.

British Fencing are excited to be hosting this session featuring international referees, Euan Deamer; Victoria Mentor and Sam McLellan who will share how rules are being applied internationally.  This should be of great interest to coaches, especially those coaching fencers who are, or could be competing on the international circuit.  Understanding the game at this level can have a great impact on coaching, both through lessons and competition support; and benefit the fencer in preparing them for international demands.

The sessions will be hosted (via Zoom) by British Fencing staff members, Chris Turner (Coaching & Workforce Development Manager) and Ian Lichfield (Pathway Operations and Logistics Manager).  There will be break out rooms for each weapon.

There will be two opportunities to access the sessions:

Tuesday 29th October 6pm – 7:30pm Thursday 7th November 6pm – 7:30pm

Coaches are welcome to attend both sessions should they wish to cover two weapons.
