PAUL CUMMINS JOINS BF AS PARTICIPATION DIRECTOR

Paul Cummins joins BF as Participation Director, with a wealth of experience in sport, physical activity and community development.

Bringing his experience from national, regional and place‑based roles across national governing bodies, charities, the education sector and active partnerships, Paul has a strong track record of working strategically with key funding partners, including Sport England, and has led successful initiatives to diversify income streams and strengthen organisational sustainability.

Paul is currently working closely with outgoing Participation Director Virginia Bailey to ensure a thorough handover ahead of her departure from BF in April, ensuring a smooth transition for the BF team and partners.

Paul says, “I am really excited to be joining British Fencing at such an exciting time. I am looking forward to working with the team, partners and stakeholders to bring the BF Strategy to life. I have a real passion for tackling inequalities, and sport being representative of the communities that we work alongside. I look forward to meeting many of the Fencing community over the weeks and months ahead.”
