OCT 2026: REGISTER YOUR INTEREST FOR COMBAT CLUB

Coaches from across UK combat sports are invited to register their interest in Combat Club, BF’s collaborative coach development community, designed to connect coaches, share practice, and learn across sporting environments. Registration closes 22nd October 2026.

Combat Club brings together coaches from across the combat sport community to explore the challenges, experiences, and opportunities that exist across different sporting environments.

While the technical demands of fencing, boxing, judo, wrestling, taekwondo, and other combat sports may differ, many of the challenges facing coaches and athletes are shared. Combat Club creates a space for coaches to explore those challenges together.

Through discussion, practical learning, storytelling, shared experiences, and reflective practice, coaches have the opportunity to challenge their thinking, explore different approaches, and take learning back into their own coaching environments.

The aim is not to identify a single way of coaching. Instead, Combat Club encourages coaches to broaden their perspectives by learning with, and from, people working across different combat sports.

A Community of Curious Coaches

At the heart of Combat Club is a simple principle: everyone has something to contribute and everyone has something to learn.

Topics may include athlete development, technical and tactical learning, competition coaching, physical preparation, psychology, creating effective performance environments, and the development of coaches themselves.

The future direction of Combat Club activity will also be shaped by the coaches who become part of the community, ensuring conversations remain relevant to the challenges and opportunities experienced across the combat sport landscape.

Grounded in “Call It Attitude”

For BF, Combat Club reflects the philosophy behind Call It Attitude, creating development-driven environments built around people becoming the best version of themselves.

Call It Attitude‘s philosophy is centred on being fencer-centred, development-driven, and competition-supported, underpinned by BF’s values of honesty, respect, and excellence. Combat Club extends these principles by encouraging curiosity, collaboration, reflection, and continual learning across sporting boundaries.

Who Is Combat Club For?

Combat Club is open to coaches working across UK combat sports.

Whether you’re supporting developing athletes, working within a talent pathway, or coaching in a performance environment, BF is interested in hearing from coaches who are curious about their craft and willing to contribute to the learning of others.

Register Your Interest

BF is now inviting coaches to register their interest in becoming part of the next phase of Combat Club.

The short registration form asks about your coaching environment, the challenges you are currently working through, topics you would like to explore with coaches from other combat sports, and the experiences you could contribute to the community.
