NEW SWORD IN HAND CPD OPPORTUNITIES ANNOUNCED

New Sword in Hand CPD workshops – now open for registration.
We’re excited to announce a fresh round of Sword in Hand CPD opportunities— designed to inspire, connect, and elevate coaches and fencers alike.
If you are interested in hosting a CPD day at your club or in your region please contact Chris Turner.
These dedicated Continual Professional Development (CPD) workshops focus on the technical coaching “how” skills—the practical tools and techniques that shape confident, capable coaches.
Whether you’re:
- Considering a step into coaching and want a hands-on taster,
- Looking to meet fellow coaches and connect with our Fencing Development Team,
- Wanting to discuss an element of your coaching,
- Practice giving lessons in a supportive environment,
- Or a fencer seeking new training experiences and the chance to work with peers and coaches beyond your club
You’re warmly invited to attend.
These sessions are designed to be inclusive, energising, and packed with practical insights. Come sharpen your skills, expand your network, and explore what coaching could mean for you.
The days are facilitated by members of the Fencing Development Team with the topics discussed directed by participants on the course and what they would like to discuss.
Feedback so far from coaches is that the days have been supportive and helping develop ways to increase participation and develop fencers.
BF training is free to access, although BF will not provide accommodation/food or cover travel costs.
We are pleased to promote the following opportunities.
Warwick (Warwick School). 15th November with John Rees. Epee Only.
Wetherby (Wetherby High School). 15th November with Ev Van-Gemeren. All weapons.
