MARK RICHARDSON RECEIVES GLL TRAINING AWARD
On the 2nd July, Mark Richardson received his GLL Training Award at Morden Leisure Centre.
GLL (Greenwich Leisure Limited) supports over 3000 athletes each year across the UK, providing a variety of assistance including financial support, training memberships and sport science guidance.
Mark Richardson received his GLL Training Award from Andy Bindon, Chief Change and Values Officer for GLL Sport Foundation, alongside the Mayor of Merton, Cllr Martin Whelton, and Cabinet Member for Sport & Heritage, Caroline Cooper-Marbiah.
Mark said: “I am delighted to receive this training award. The membership of Better gyms and swimming pools is of huge benefit to me in my general fitness and in my frequent rehabilitation from injury over the last few years.”

As part of the evening’s celebrations, Mark gave a short demonstration of all three fencing weapons, explaining how each is scored.

Special thanks to Alexandra Chung, Community Sports Manager for GLL, for organising the event.
