GBR COACH LICENCE INTRODUCED TO SUPPORT EVENT ACCREDITATION

A new GBR Coach Licence is now available, offering coaches smoother access to accreditation across key BF & international events.

BF has introduced a new GBR Coach Licence to support recent changes to international event regulations.

All coaches listed on the BF Coach Register who meet the required standards, including an Anti-Doping certificate are eligible to purchase the licence, regardless of whether they coach an athlete at an EFC or FIE event.

Benefits of the GBR Coach Licence

Holders of the GBR Coach Licence will be eligible for accreditation for:

  • All international competitions
  • All BF‑run events, including:
    • Senior National Championships
    • British Senior Open
    • British Youth Championships
    • British Cadet & Junior Championships
    • British School Team Championships
  • Any BF‑sanctioned event using an accreditation system through Sport:80

Any coach wishing to buy a GBR Coach Licence and attend multiple events must:

Requirements for BF Events

Coaches wishing to support fencers on an event-by-event single accreditation basis at BF events must:

  • Appear on the BF Coaching Register.
  • Hold an Anti-Doping Certificate
  • Apply for BF event specific accreditations in advance, on the event page.

Requirements for EFC & FIE Events

Coaches attending EFC & FIE competitions are required to:

  • Hold the relevant EFC or FIE Coach Licence.
  • Apply for international accreditations using the Coaching Accreditation Form.
  • Be entered into the event by BF.

New Accreditation Fees
