EXCITING OPPORTUNITY: CHAIR POSITIONS FOR WEAPON STEERING GROUPS

BF is providing an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and strategic leader to drive forward the sport as the Chair of the Weapon Steering Group. This role is crucial in shaping the future of the sport, ensuring effective governance, coordination, and alignment with the overarching BF strategy.

The Chair will provide leadership and direction to the Weapon Steering Group, ensuring that all voices within the group are heard, decisions are made collaboratively, and activities are delivered efficiently, fairly, and in the best interest of the weapon’s development. This is a unique opportunity to determine the strategic direction of the weapon and make a lasting impact on the sport. There will be three Weapon Steering Groups: Epee, Foil and Sabre, and as such, we are looking for a Chair for each weapon.

We have already engaged with key personnel from the fencing community to have meaningful conversations about how we can co-create these Groups with members of the community. Our next step is to broaden this dialogue and speak to the wider fencing community about how we develop these Groups together.
