As the latest edition to the Participation team, Chris brings a wealth of experience in sport development, having worked in the industry since 2009. He has held roles with local government, further education colleges, active partnerships and national governing bodies. He was also recently Area Manager (East) at Table Tennis England, supporting in excess of 80 table tennis clubs in the East region.

On a personal note, Chris is a keen hockey player and is currently fourth team captain at Northampton Saints Hockey Club where he sits on the club committee, driving community outreach programmes into state primary schools.

Chris said:

“I’m delighted to join BF as their new Club Development Officer and I’m excited to take up the challenge. I fully believe that sports clubs are the beating heart of their community, and I’m keen on supporting this ecosystem as best I can to ensure we can grow the sport of fencing together.”
