On behalf of the British Fencing Board, I invite you to the Annual General Meeting of British Fencing Association Limited to be held at 11am on Friday 30th October 2026 at the ODI offices, 4 Millbank, London, SW1P 3JA.
Voting, for those that are eligible to vote, will be in-person. If you are unable to attend in person you may register your vote in advance or appoint a voting member attending in person to vote for you on the day. This is done by filling out a proxy form here.
Proxy forms must be completed by 28th October.
Members and guests will be able to join online but eligible members will only be able to vote through a proxy form.
At this meeting, your Board will invite you to vote on the following:
Ordinary Resolutions
- To receive the Annual Accounts for the financial year ending 31th March 2026
- To approve the appointment of Nadia Davies (bio link to follow when published) as Appointed Director for a 1st term of 4 years.
- To approve the appointment of Tabatha Barton as Appointed Director for a 2nd term of 2 years.
Special Resolution
- To approve the proposed amendments to the Articles of Association as set out in the AGM Notice
The article amendments are being presented by the Directors following the changes approved at the 2026 EGM. They:
- Prevent Directors from voting on their own re-appointment.
- Update the quorum for a Board Meeting to reflect the recent changes to the make-up of the Board
These amendments are set out in the Formal Notice here.
The Annual Report and Accounts (once signed) will be published here.
Jade Clarke, Chair of the Board’s subcommittee for Audit, Governance & Risk, will take members through the accounts and finances and respond to your questions.
Questions should be submitted in advance using the registration form here.
The formal notice of the Meeting and resolutions to be proposed will also be set out here. If you wish to attend the AGM, please complete the registration form here by 11am on 28th October 2026. If you are attending online, you will be sent a link and access details nearer the time.
If you would like to vote on the resolution but cannot attend the meeting, you can appoint another person as your proxy to exercise all or any of your rights to attend, vote, and speak at the Meeting, but you must complete the proxy form (attached to the registration form here).
You may also send your apologies using the same form.
The AGM will be followed by a short presentation of the 2026 British Fencing Honours Awards to those recipients unable to attend the presentation on Tuesday 6th October at the Para Fencing European Championships. Presentations will also take place at British Fencing Championship Events, based on recipients’ availability.
I hope you are able to attend the Annual General Meeting and look forward to your continued involvement in, and enjoyment of, our sport.
Sara Pantuliano
