This is a demo, not British Fencing’s website. The clubs, coaches, events and results are BF’s own; the live rankings are calculated here from them, under BF’s Ranking Scheme. Member accounts are made up, and payments are in test mode.

This page is dedicated to giving you as much information around the funding available to our community as possible. Funding can seem a difficult undertaking however, BF is here to support clubs looking to expand their offer to their members.

What’s available?

SPORT ENGLAND

The main opportunities of funding come from Sport England. Following on from Coronavirus SE have modified their funding streams to help people safely return to play. They offer four individual pots of funding.

 Return to Play: Small Grants

This fund will make awards, using National Lottery funding, of between £300 and £10,000, from a total pot of £10m, to help sport and activity groups, clubs and organisations respond to the immediate challenges of returning to play in a coronavirus-safe way.

See more information on the SE website here.

This pot is the most manageable of the three to apply for. BF have created a FREE guide, readily available to all affiliated clubs that wish to submit a Small Grants bid of £300 to £15,000 to enhance the fencing opportunities they provide. We can help you review your objectives, proofread any bids to make recommendations and write letters of support.

Contact hannah.gavin@britishfencing.com if you wish to download the Small Grants Funding Guide.

Return to Play: Active Together

Active Together is a crowdfunding initiative that can match fund, up to £10,000, successful Crowdfunder campaigns from a total pot of £7.5m.

See more information on the SE website here.
