This Pathway Camp is primarily designed to prepare fencers for team competitions by focusing on communication, informed decision making, tactical awareness and scenario skills. Saturday’s programme includes trust-building S&C, communication skills, an exploration of the Italian Relay format, and individual and team-based scenario fencing. On Sunday, athletes will take part in a nutrition workshop and also work on lunge mechanics, punishing errors and being a well-rounded fencer, understand effective deployment of the reserve, participate in more team and individual scenarios, and put their learning into competitive practice.

Saturday

  • S&C & games – trust-building & problem-solving
  • Team communication skills – supported by the True Athlete Project
  • The Team Relay format – easy as 123?

  • Punishing errors – have the confidence to capitalise
