This event is open only to fencers who live, work, go to a "Surrey" based club or go to a school in "Surrey".

Competition Format

All the events will run as one round of poules with no cut, followed by D.E.’s. No fence off for third place.

Poules are to 5 hits - 3 min periods

D.E.s for U10 and U12 are to 10 hits 3 x 2 min periods.

D.E.s for U14 are to 12 hits 3 x 2 min periods.

D.E.s for U16 & U18 are to 15 hits 3 x 3 min periods.

Age groups including genders may be combined due to number of entries and then separated for D.E.'s. Age groups will not be combined where there are different size blades used.

Equipment Rules

Blade sizes and equipment (e.g. lame Bibs required for U16 & U18 foil) should be as per British Fencing Guidlines. 

In particular minimum 350N Breeches and 350N for up to U14 and 800 N for U16 & U18 plastrons are required. 

Under 10 fencers should use size 0 blades, under 14 fencers should use a size 3 blade or smaller. There are no blade size restrictions for U16 and U18. 

Competitors should have two working weapons and two body wires available, at the commencement of each bout.
