Welcome to the 2026 Edinburgh Team Challenge! This fun team event will give you the chance to dust off your kit and ease yourself in to the coming season.
There will be 3 events: Mixed Team Foil, Mixed Team Sabre, and Mixed Team Epee. Each team can consist of 3 or 4 fencers (4 if you want to have a reserve). For each event there will be 1 round of poules, with each poule consisting of at most 4 teams. Then we will fence direct elimination matches. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams in each category.
We will also have medals for best cadet team and best veteran team in each weapon! To qualify as a cadet (veteran) team, all members of the team must be cadets (veterans).
No team? No problem!
Eager to compete and don't have a team? Or you only have two people and need a fourth? Don't worry! Simply send an email to us (amijonnywoollard@gmail.com) and we'll get you into a team as best we can.
Buying kit
We will be running a second-hand kit stand. Anyone can buy or sell kit at the second-hand stand - there is no need to contact us. Simply come to the event with your (washed) kit, and write a note with how much the item costs and how buyers can contact/pay you. We will not facilitate payments ourselves - this will be done directly between buyers and sellers.

Note: We only have access to the hall from 10:00 - please arrive on time to ensure you have enough time to warm up.
