Senior championships:

Size 5 blades to be used throughout. Fencers must wear breeches and knee length socks - 800N plastrons are also required for all competitors. All clothing must comply with British Fencing clothing regulations. Secondary straps are not required for masks but all masks must be secure when fencing and this will be checked by referees.

For foil: masks with lame bibs and mask wires are required. Soft covers on chest protectors are not required.

For sabre: 800N gloves are required.

Check in closes for each weapon as follows:

  • Epee - 9am
  • Sabre - 11am
  • Foil - 1.30pm

Format will be one round of poules with all fencers moving on to the direct elimination (DE) round - in the event of low entry numbers, we may run a mixed gender poule but the DE round will be single gender.

Timetabling for this event means we will not be able to accommodate fencers taking part in more than one weapon.

Entry is open to all fencers aged 13 or over as of 1st January 2027 who are affiliated to East Midlands region. Fencers may choose to affiliate to East Midlands region, if they have not already done so, by following this link. Fencers must have valid Starter, Recreational or Compete membership of British Fencing.
