Coaching Fencing Foil (L2)

  • Foil

I have been fencing a while and have been a member of Bristol Fencing Club for approximately 17 years. I help the club’s professional coaches and have now started my own coaching journey supporting our junior, intermediate and developer students. I have not yet developed a coaching philosophy but I am enjoying learning the skills and influence of key coaches I have had during my time as a fencer. I am a level 2 coach, formally qualifying in April 2024. My fencing journey has been longer. I started at the age of 8 and competed at national level, some international until the age of approximately 20 when work and other life experiences took priority. I have kept my practice up joining clubs as my career has taken me, generally fencing one or two times a week throughout my life.
