Fencing is a sport which has a lot to offer people, and what I enjoy most about working with people is finding what fencing can do for them. Currently, I really enjoy working with neurodivergent children and young people who don't typically gravitate towards sports. I use modern coaching methodologies, such as ecological dynamics, a constraints led approach and 'Play Their Way', to create engaging environments where people develop through explorarion and challenge. Coaches must treat fencers as whole athletes, as whole people, and adapt to their needs to facilitate learning.
