My philosophy as a fencing coach is to create an environment where young people not only learn the skills of the sport, but also develop a genuine love for it. I believe fencing should be fun, engaging, and inclusive—something that sparks excitement and helps children grow in confidence both on and off the piste. I focus on building strong foundations, teaching good habits early, and encouraging creativity in how young fencers approach challenges. My role is to inspire, support, and guide them, while making sure that enjoyment is always at the heart of training. If my fencers leave the session smiling, motivated, and wanting to come back, then I’ve succeeded as a coach.
